I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I love films! Whats better than wrapping up for a cosy night in, with a cup of tea or a hot chocolate in front of a film on a cold winter evening. I’ve never bene the kind of person who wanted to go out to a club and get drunk. I would much prefer a chill in with a film and some friends. So, its only fitting that I share with you guys some of my favourite films to watch at this time of year.
Die Hard is a classic in my house hold. My mum and I watch it every year, snuggled up on the bed or the sofa with a cup of tea. Though its not technically a Christmas film, its has a Christmas theme and its a must watch for any action film lover. Its easily the least relaxing film of the list, but it is one of the most entertaining. If you haven’t seen it, this is a must watch this Christmas!
A Knights Tale.
I know A Knights Tale isn’t a Christmas film in any way, shape or form. But, its one of my favourite films and a family classic for Christmas Eve. Everything from the cast to the insane soundtrack to the comedy is fantastic in this film, so if you haven’t seen it you must!
I only watched Nativity for the first time last year with my brother, but oh my gods its brilliant! As its the first pure Christmas film on my list, you can see how much I love it. Its funny and entertaining and so cute! I didn’t know how it can be Christmas without a Nativity and this one is the absolute best. The next 2 are nowhere near as good, but the soundtrack is brilliant in each.
A true classic. Elf is one of those films that practically everyone has watched and loved. It so easy to put on in the background and get hooked in. The storyline is so heartwarming, its truly like Christmas. I enjoy this one at least once every Christmas, although I know some people who will watch this on repeat until January.
Love Actually is another Christmas classic. I love this film! I think how all the different story lines tie together is genius and each one is so sweet, especially Sam, the little boy. Its too cute. I think I first watched this with Jenny years ago and I’ve watched every year since. Its just that good.
The Polar Express.
My mum loves The Polar Express, even though I do find the animation a little creepy. Ultimately though I do love this film. Its so sweet, it makes me smile just thinking about it and really gets me into the festive spirit. It also reminds me how real Christmas is to little kids. Oh, I love it.
The Chronicles of Narnia.
I feel like Christmas is the time to break out all those films you lives a a kid and rewatch them. I haven’t seen the Narnia films in years but they are definitely on my watch list this year. There’s something so magical about a world which anything is possible.
I hope you enjoyed, please let me know which films you love around this time of year!
